About Us

Medina Wood and Resin is a handcrafted furniture company founded by lifelong friends Max Wuchter and Ruth Musser — two artists who blend natural wood and vibrant resin into one-of-a-kind statement pieces.

Our journey began in a friend’s garage during the summer of 2024, where a stack of live edge wood sparked an idea: what if we made a table? That spark turned into a passion, and by the summer of 2025, we launched Medina Wood and Resin, combining our love for woodworking with a drive to create truly unique, high-quality furniture.

Both born and raised in Medina, Ohio, we graduated from Highland High School and now pursue our individual passions in college — Max studies Computer Science and Engineering at The Ohio State University, while Ruth majors in Interior Design at Kent State University. Together, we bring a mix of technical creativity and design sensibility to every project.

We specialize in custom live edge tables, serving trays, and cutting boards — each piece handcrafted with care and character. What sets our work apart is the organic beauty of the wood we choose and the artistic use of epoxy resin to elevate each design. No two pieces are ever the same.

I love my checkered cutting board so much that I would not let anyone use it for several weeks after I bought it. We use it frequently now. It is durable and beautiful.
